Quintin Low Book Launch for Grit Part One
Quintin Low
Guest Bio

Quintin Low is a Brisbane-based author with a taste for the wild and macabre side of life. Inspired by the likes of Kerouac and Thompson, he's had a lifelong interest in telling stories about people living on the fringes of society. Having worked under a succession of gruff, old-school journalists, Quintin is most at home when he's capturing stories that are unfolding right in front of him.

While writing will always come first for him, Quintin's other great love in life is music. He's been fortunate enough to work with Australian rock royalty and tour across the country. Whenever he’s not on the road or typing furiously in a darkened room, he spends much of his time being a menace in the Brisbane music scene. Grit is his first novel.

Quintin Low Book Launch for Grit: Part One

With Quintin Low

COOPER MCMURPHY IS A ZERO.

In a world where everyone else is somebody, Cooper wants a simple life.

To be unremarkable, underachieving and, most importantly, undisturbed.

Yet, for some reason, the world is resolved to not let him.

Forced to run a rat race that he never wanted to have any part in, McMurphy struggles to see the point in living. Trapped by the expectations of his parents and a schooling system that doesn't understand him, there's no escape in sight.

That is, until he meets Jake.

Leaping at the chance to break his chains, Cooper plunges deep down into the grimy underbelly of the city and filth that lies below its streets.

A world where the only thing that separates the living from the dead is GRIT...
